AT HOME:

Funding is provided by churches, schools, civic groups, families and individuals. The crèche is an ecumenical project that cuts across economic, religious and social barriers to bring people of diverse backgrounds together for a common goal of service to disadvantaged children!

IN INDIA:

Outside agencies often flounder in villages, but the desire to improve the lives of children motivates skeptical parents to participate with enthusiasm. The crèche is not an attempt to intrude on their lives or beliefs, but an effort devoted to the well-being of their children.

HOW CAN YOU HELP?

Crèches are grassroots, direct services for small, rural Indian villages. The board of the Betsy Elizabeth Trust has no overhead or big offices and a totally volunteer staff, so that all funds raised go directly to the school and the needs of the children. You can join us as a group or an individual! A tiny step makes big impact on lives both sides of the globe!

DONATIONS:

• Clothing and Toys: used clothing in good condition for children ages 3-5 years old, any style including sweaters and light jackets; toys: we prefer small stuffed animals or dolls instead of plastic action figures or Barbie dolls.
